Home Workshop

When PTQG started Home Workshop, members got together in someone’s home to learn about quilting.

Now we meet on the fourth Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the Sierra Presbyterian Church, 175 Ridge Rd. in Nevada City. We do not meet in August, November or December

Each month we have a presenter who has volunteered to teach a skill or a project, everything from vests to pin cushions to quilts. The topics are limited only by YOUR imagination and desire. Is there a project you feel is a good one for Home Workshop? Please, send your idea to Theresa Finn.

The day is free. Each class has a materials list which we will send via e-mail. You provide the machine and your favorite tools, as well as your lunch and drink. We provide irons and boards, cutting mats, a few rulers and rotary cutters and extension cords.

Quilting 101

Quilting 101 is our class for beginning quilters.  This is a great opportunity to learn new skills or even polish up some you already have. Most of all, we plan to have fun while we help each other learn to quilt. These classes are free to Guild members and are held in conjunction with Home Workshop, on the fourth Thursday of each month from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Each class has a materials list which we will send via e-mail. You provide the machine and your favorite tools. We provide irons and boards, cutting mats, a few rulers and rotary cutters and extension cords.

The building is open for set-up at 9:00am. Please bring your own lunch and beverages.

If you are interested, please contact Joan Mosley for more information and a supply list.

Drop In & Sew

People come and go as they must or bring their own projects and join the camaraderie.
The only important thing is that you come and have fun.
